You need a hero! (How convenient these guys (and gals) are here!)
Hero slimes are special slimes based off of USERS ON THIS WIKI that help the player. They're found in certain places on the map.

Hero slimes just sit where they're found until they are fed 200 newbucks worth of plorts (no change given!). They then teleport to a small hut by the path to the slime science lab. Interacting with a hero in the hut does two things:

  1. You tell the hero to follow you.
  2. You tell the hero that was already following you to stop and just sit in the hut.

You can edit this page and add yourself as one! Note that every hero slime MUST have an activated ability (activated by pressing R).

Suba-Murge (Subnauticatracer)

Appearance

Suba-Merge appears to be a bit of a serpent like creature. Suba-Merges swim up only at night to take advantage of the light Phosphor slimes produce to make a form of solar energy. On land, Suba-Merges take on the appearance of different slimes to escape captivity. The best way to discover if you have a Suba-Merge is to look for a single spike on the back. This spike looks like a solar panel, but can be a bit hard to see depending on the species the Suba-merge is posing as. Another way is to find an H symbol close to the Slime's lower mouth. This H is what activates it's ability.

Behavior

Suba-Merge Slimes love a good surprise. In slime form, when they jump on you, They make the rancher walk 2x the regular speed for 20 seconds. While in their serpent form (Toggled by pressing X), their jump leaves a trail of bite resistant water. This shell sticks around for a quick 10 seconds.

Activated Ability

If in the Slime state, Suba-Merges can cause two slimes that won't normally come together (Spawn together) to fuse. This makes a goop Golem that can bat away threats. So far, 10 slimes (Pink, Rock, Boom, Quantum, Hunter, Phosphoro, Boom, Tabby, Rad, Fire) Can merge. These golems return to normal after sustaining around ten Tarr Bites.

In Serpent form, Pressing R may cause two things, if the slime is following. If it isn't following, an air bubble appears where you point your cross hair. This Air bubble extends how long the rancher can stay in the water by 54 seconds. However, it makes you swim a little slower.

If it does follow, It will first sink into the ground. A red circle moves about as it finds the target. Once it finds the subject, the circle becomes bubbling water as the serpent bursts out of the pond, dealing really good damage. if used in the glass desert, it can end a Solar Anomaly quickly.

Stickman king 28

Appearance

A black slime with light yellow eyes and a golden crown. Carries a sword (SOMEHOW) made out of puddle plorts.

Behavior

Charges up to tarrs and attacks them in a flurry of sword blows. Sticks close to the rancher otherwise.

Activated Ability

Summons a black slime with a knight helmet and light gray eyes who runs up to an object or tarr, and brings it over to you (if object), or stuns it (if tarr). You have to point your cross-hair at the thing you command it to grab or attack.

Found

In a cave hidden near the Rock Gordo in the Indigo Quarry.

Dream Slime (SketchyLeaf)

Appearance

A peach colored slime with a red hood around it.

Behavior

Will teleport you when in danger (falling, near death, Tarr Attack, ect.) into the Dream World for 5 minutes.

Activated Ability

Dream Field: Teleports you at anytime to the Dream World.

Found

Will appear on the ranch every other full moon if you have at least 200,000 newbucks.

516-NUM (MixieRoast)

Appearance

Leading up to encounter, they are a shadowy black figure with a flaming light on a long tail, who stays distant to the player. When you get closer, their features become revealed; half red, half green, with sharp teeth, tabby ears, and black hair. They bear a long black tail, with a blazing flame committing from it's end.

Behavior

They tend to act as a light, leading the player through the dark areas of the Range. They also pick up plorts and move them away from largos to prevent tarrs. If the rancher is attacked, they bite, though they don't do to much damage with that.

Activated Ability

When 'R' is pressed, 516 will use an AoE fire attack, to evaporate tarrs and burn slimes.

Found

They are found anywhere at night, very rarely, and vanish when day comes around, That stops happening when they are 'tamed'.

Hobs (Teamfortress2328)

Appearance

A normal looking treasure pod. Inside is an indifferent light blue slime, strikingly like the old models of the puddle slime.

Behavior 

  • Can be vacuumed like largos. When fired into the ocean, the ball will float. Then, it will hiss, fill with hydrogen, and float back to you. Will do this sometimes to get to you quickly if you run too far away.
  • Generally just rolls along.
  • Echoes that get near will follow for some reason.
  • Gives a chance to spawn a special echo that looks similar to a tiny sun. May converse with Hobs before despawning a while later.
  • Automatically fires water at any Tarrs. He doesn't like 'em.
  • Also works as portable silo if right-clicked. Can hold up to 50 items in 4 containers.
  • Convinces any Gold slimes it finds to follow it for 5 minutes. It drops gold plots if shot. Hobs steals gold plots though. If he gathers 50, his ball will level up to the next color. This upgrades movement and storage by 10.

Activated Ability 

  • When T is pressed, a trio of water blobs will fire towards your cursor.
  • When G is pressed Hobs pops out, looks around, and the ball closes up again. If you do this near an almost ripened Mint Mango tree, he will become a little bit worried, audibly sigh, and then close up.

Found 

If you fall off the area behind the ranch, and turn around to face the cliff wall, you might be able to use your jetpack to float into a cave in the cliff face. Inside, Hobs will be just there. Also a small chance to find him floating in any body of water, meandering.

Jay Slime (Jayboss the true)

Appearance

A dark cyan coloured slime who seems smaller than normal.

Behaviour

Tries to stay in the shadows most of the time. Otherwise he just bounces around all slime like.

Activated Ability

When R is pressed he teleports tarrs away from you and teleports gold and lucky slimes in front of you, then it freezes them. Oh, and turns all nearby feral slimes nice.

Found

Inside your house! Getting in there without activating the menu is a challenge by itself. Great luck doing it.

Dancey (Danceykitty)

Appearance

An orange tabby slime with pastel blue eyes (sorta), who is a tad bit smaller than a normal tabby slime, and has three stripes instead of two.

Behavior (this might be a bit long)

She will stay in the hut at a sunny day, since she dislikes heat, and only comes out during night, so she's pretty much only useful at night. When echos are near by, she likes to stare at them in interest, you can get her attention by throwing something at her, she does the same with pretty much anything that glows, and you could just do the same thing. Will run away from an area if there are too many ferals, but attacks tarrs. Dancey likes to stay in water, so she might often be in a pond with no puddle slimes.

Activated Ability

Pressing R, she will shoot a small crystal shard at the direction you are pointing. She does this automatically at tarrs. This will have a 1 second cooldown, and it also doesn't do much damage.

Found

Dancey will be found in a cave somewhat close to the cave where you fight the Tabby King (aka, about 9 feet away from it).

Jolt (PopsicleNinja)

Appearance

A bright yellow phosphor hunter largo with purple eyes and white markings, more spikes on body.

Behavior

Jolt is playful. She has two grown up baby slimes that accompany her when being a hero: Oliver, a brown hunter tabby with white markings and green eyes, and Sunshine, an orange hunter tabby. (If you are curious, Oliver and Sunshine are my real life cats.) Jolt can run really fast and is really agile, so she can dodge Tarr easily -while carrying a stack of slimes to safety from the Tarr. She doesn't just sit and wait for the player, she behaves like any other wild slime. Sometimes, she just wants to be alone, so she becomes invisible to avoid players and other slimes.

Activated Ability

Press R and she will shoot electricity at an enemy. Damaging enemies, it can range from an injury all the way to the effects of the incinerator. This has a chance of turning a plort into a slime or a Tarr into a slime, and it also has a chance at spawning a really random item or slime or whatever. Because her electricity is a matter of creation.

Found

At night, in the Moss Blanket. She behaves like a wild slime instead of sitting around, and she sometimes does not want to interact with you and thus becomes invisible.

KING slime (THEKINGOFTHISWIKI)

Appearance

A fire+ hunter+ boom largo holding a vacpack. Also wears a crown because it Is a king along with stickman king 28.

Behaviour

Flies (don't ask me how) next to the rancher, giving random plorts

Activated ability

summons pink slimes to help fight

Found

Has a 2.1% chance to come out of a Gordo. If not found in any then it has a chance to replace a tarr or pink slime at night.

Finley (Fishyfishyfishy500)

Appearance

A Coel Slime with Aqua eyes, Gold Spots and 2 extra pectoral fins, the size of a largo

Behaviour (Oh Geez)

He will lay around in the hut during sunny days, since he is amphibious, and only really comes out when it is night or when it Rains or is humid, he seems to like to play with a beach ball, balancing them on his nose and flicking them around with his tail. He has a rare Albino Newt Slime buddy named Marsh who likes to talk and play with other little slimes. He is somewhat slow on land, yet still agile enough to dodge Tarr though,but very powerful and defensive, in water, he becomes extremely fast and even more powerful He can wait for the player, but he still moves around occasionally and sometimes he may act a little shy when someone unfamiliar is around, so he may close his eyes and turn his spots dark blue.

Activated ability

Click R to make him Fire off a Pressurized Beam of water, with damage equal to that of an Anky Slime Rolling into you

Found

He comes to the surface of the water at night, at the beach, sometimes he may even haul himself ashore for short periods of time

Demon Tarr (TarrRancher)

Appearance

A demonic-looking gold tarr with small horns, and slightly bigger than a normal tarr.

Behavior

Mostly will follow the rancher around, eating the occasional slime. Although if it starts to rain he will go inside. He usually avoids water at all costs, and is one of the few hero slimes that gets hungry, and attempt to lightly bite the rancher when he is, just to let them know. If he gets too hungry, he will go back to the ranch and wait until he is fed. He will also pacify most tarrs around him, and will eat feral slimes if they get too close to the rancher.

Activated Ability

Pressing R will Vhim summon a few friendly tarrs wherever the rancher is looking at.

Found

Will fall to the ground after beating Tarrlossus, who locked him up after he became too friendly to ranchers.

Primordiumbra (PrimordiaThePrimordial)

Appearance

A Primordial/Umbra Slime largo. She is a primordial slime with umbra tentactles, and all Umbra purple except for her stars, black holes, and star spikes. She wears a black and purple crown that is the same as Primordia's except smaller and with a red star gem.

Behavior

She will summon meteors when she sees any type of tarr or feral. These meteors will rain down on the tarrs or ferals, doing moderate damage and stunning them. These meteors will not be summoned if the tarrs or ferals are under anything besides trees or corrals. She will stay very close to the rancher, circling them when any tarrs or ferals are in the area, and biting any dangers that come close. If she falls into the slime sea, she will fall from the sky a moment later. She is unaffected by damage.

Activated Ability

Pressing R while looking at or near any type of tarr will make her run up to them and rapidly feral stomp them a few times, killing it (she can't hurt bosses with this). Pressing R when not looking at tarrs will make her round up any slimes near where you were looking, and bring them to you. Both have a 1 minute cooldown.

Found

She will be waiting for you in the center of the main area of the ranch when you first leave the house after starting from the beginning (by talking to Primordia after the End) for the 20th time in a row.

Valeria Flareon Slime (Simpleflareon)

Appearence

A bright orange slime, with a little tuff on its head, kind of like a flareon.

Behavior

This Hero Slime is very aggressive to anything that hurts him, if its a feral slime, well that slime will be attacked. Even rock slimes that hit him will be attacked.

Activated Abilities

Pressing G will make the flareon let you choose a target. Once you've done so, you left click and the flareon chases it.

Pressing R just simply lets the flareon breathe fire, but don't stand infront of it.

Found

This slime is found in a cave in the Valerian Mountains sitting on a teleporter. Once you feed it the 200 newbucks, it will move and you can take a teleporter to the Valerian Beach
