The Space Slime is found only at the highest level of the Sky Islands, with its relative, the Star Slime. It doesn't eat, but rather absorb it's food.

Slimeology[]
Space Slimes can be found lounging around the highest areas of the Sky Islands. They favor the pumpkin-like vegetable Stratosqaush, which is found in the same area. They can be considered the opposite of the Star Slime. This is because they emit a cooling effect that calms slimes down, condense more water to ponds, and negates the Star Slime's heating effect.
Rancher Risks[]
It can absorb any food item, but only produces plorts when given veggies. It can also absorb plorts except it's own, of course, which can lead to unintended Largo transformations, or Tarr outbreaks. Finally, it can absorb any regular slime except itself and Star Slimes, making it impossible to keep in a corral with any other type. High Walls or an Air Net is necessary to keep it in a corral due to its ability to levitate. A rancher could lose their entire garden, coop, or corral if not careful. They pose no other threat.
Plortonomics[]
Due to their diet of vegetables, Space Slime's plorts are used in glass to produce clear vision vision. The plort is amorphous, making it easy to do so. This has led to Slimeologists to study how the amorphous properties of both Slime and Plort work at higher atmospheric pressures (near the surface).
Appearance[]
Space Slimes' bodies are amorphous, but always resemble a starry night sky in some way, with larger shapes forming eyes and a mouth.
Tips[]
- Space Slimes emit a cooling effect that, when not countered by a Star Slime, calm Slimes down and condense water in a pond faster, but only in the vicinity.
- Space Slimes are needed if you plan to keep Boom or Puddle Slimes in the vicinity of a Star Slime.
- Maintain care when corraling Space Slimes, or they can absorb much of your ranch.
Trivia[]
- Both the Space Slime and the Star Slime came to the creator when he read about the Dragon Slime. He liked the idea of the Sky Islands area, so he imagined that it would be near the edge of the atmosphere on the highest areas, so he used that as a basis for creating the two slimes.
