Hello! This is a tutorial on creating a slime page. You'll need to follow this template when creating pages for slimes.

The first thing you're going to do is make the page! Hit the new page button found at the top of the Wikia, then name it! Think of a word that describes your slime. Simply put that in front of the word slime, for example, 'Pink Slime'.

Next, click 'Insert', and then 'Infobox' at the top. Pick "Infobox Slime (Use this One)", and fill out the details.

'Next you can write a little quote about your slime here, in block quote format!' - Slimepedia

Under this, create a short little description of your slime. This could include things such as diet, favorite and habitat, though it doesn't need to be much.

Info in the Slimepedia [Heading]

Diet [Sub Heading 1]

Put what the slime eats, such as fruit, veggies or meat, here. Also include the slime's favorite food. Like this:

[your slime's name] slimes only eat [food category] and favor [favourite food] the most out them all!

Slime Toy [Sub heading 1]

What is your slime's favorite Slime Toy, and why does it like it? Like this:

[toy name] - "Reduces agitation of nearby slimes, especially [your slime's name] Slimes, because [reason]." Costs [amount, usually 700] Newbucks.

Slimeology [Sub Heading 1]

Use at least 1 or 2 paragraphs here, the first for the in-game slimepedia entry (use in italics), and the second or more for the details of what it does, how you can find it, and anything that's necessary for what your slime does that doesn't fit within a slimepedia entry in-game. Like this:

A dervish slime is a swirling, whirling bundle of energy in slimy form. Dervish slimes are commonly found in the Glass Desert, cruising across its dusty dunes at high speed atop little whirlwinds. One thing is for certain: wherever the dervish slime needs to go, it gets there in a hurry.

Dervish slimes can create small dust devils and ride on them, picking up anything underneath. Sometimes, when agitated, they can create large tornadoes that can pick up anything from food and resources to plorts and slimes. Pretty much anything that's not part of the map, a gadget, or the player.

Rancher Risks [Sub Heading 1]

Here, you put all the risk factors regarding your slime, about how they could make stuff go wrong. If your slime poses no risks, you still need this section, simply to state how innocent they are.

Plortonomics [Sub Heading 1]

Here, you describe what your slimes plorts are used for. For example, pink plorts are used as a material for creating all kinds of different everyday objects. Try and relate use to default plort value, as something with little use wouldn't be worth a lot.

Appearance [Heading]

Here, describe how your slime looks. This is especially important if they don't have an image to go with them.

Secret Style [Sub Heading 1] [ Optional]

Here, you describe what your slime's secret style looks like, and where it's found.

Gordo [Heading]

If your slime has a Gordo, here's where you specify where it is and what it drops. Here's an example:

The Example Gordo is inside the northmost tower of Example Ruins in The Example Area. It drops 5 crates, 10 Example Slimes, and an Example Item. (In SR1, they drop keys, but fan gordos can drop anything you want!)

Other Sections [Heading] [Optional]

Not all pages need this section, and it'll never actually be called 'Other Sections'. This is where you would place any info about a certain function of your slime that can't go anywhere else on the page.

Tips [Heading] [Optional]

  • If you have any tips to your fellow ranchers on how to keep your slimes, you put those here.
  • Anything useful works, even if it's just 'don't keep too many'.
  • This entire section needs to be bullet pointed.

Trivia [Heading] [Optional]

  • Here, you put any other little bits of info that you couldn't squeeze into the rest of the page.
  • This can even be random little out of character facts.
  • This is also a bullet pointed list.

Gallery [Heading] [Optional]

Here is where you put all your images of your slime. To insert a gallery, click on 'Insert Gallery' at the top of the page, and find the images you want. Some ideas of what to put in the gallery would be:

  • Any alternative images of the slime.
  • An image of its plort.
  • Any fanart of your slime. Make sure to credit the artist!

Now, you can hit the 'Save Page' button, because you're done making your page! However, there's one last thing to do: add categories! For more details on this, please see our Category Guide.

If you have any additional questions to ask, forward them on the comments of this page or an administrator.
